Hello and Welcome to Tripping With Marty!
Hello...anybody out there?
Another year, another blog. Welcome to "Tripping With Marty." If you want to know what's going to be going on here, it's all explained here.
First off I want to thank anyone who's reading this. It's always scary taking a break and then starting a new blog. I always hope I didn't lose my audience and so far I've been lucky. We'll see what happens with this one.
I feel all my blogs have led to this one. The Marty Wombacher Show morphed into A Guy Walks Into 365 Bars. When that was done, I took what I had learned and launched Marty After Dark. And now I'm starting a new phase, where I'm going to be blogging between 6 to 8 hours a day live (except on Saturday and Sunday and special occasions) and treat it like it's my full time job. How can I do this? Easy, I don't have a full time job anymore.
As I've always said, I don't blog about where I work and I'm not going to blog about where I used to work. Basically what I will say is they moved to a location outside of New York City that would've been a bad commute for me and I wouldn't have been able to blog anymore. Luckily, I've had a feeling this would happen, I’ve saved up money and I have a little nest egg I can live on for awhile and do this blog full time. Something I've always dreamed about doing.
I really want to thank my friend (and yours!) "Boris" for designing a kick-ass piece of banner art for Tripping With Marty. "Boris" has designed all my banners and did a ton of work on The Marty Wombacher Show. I'm always amazed by his work and he totally blew me away with this one. I wanted it to be psychedelic, but still readable and he took the idea and hit it out of the ballpark. He took a picture of me and psychedelicized me by mirroring Richard Avedon's famous portrait of John Lennon from 1968. If you need any artwork, banners, logos, CD art and beyond, let me know and I'll put you in touch with "Boris." And don't miss his daily, "Secret Weapon" show he does with DJ Gidget on Woody Radio. "Boris" picks the tunes and DJ Gidget spins them.
Today there's just going to be three posts, this one, one about my work history in New York and then a goodnight video. Tomorrow we go live, tripping out into to the wild blue blogosphere!
I thank you for tuning in to Tripping With Marty, it should be a fun ride! The next post will be up around 3pm, check back and thanks for not abandoning me! I truly appreciate that!

@Kitty in Peoria: Thanks, Kitty! I'll do my best to bring out a chuckle or two in you!
Good luck, Marty! Don't stop buttering the squirrel's tail or you'll end up on that island where men keep bees!
Hi Marty.
@DogNose: Thanks! And that is sound advice indeed!
@Melanie: Hi Melanie!
I actually love how you skipped Company E and went directly to Company F, which turned out be RIGHT ON. So now on with the trippin'.....and entertaining the rest of who are still working at Company _ ! I better not give mine a letter. Anyway....we will be looking forward to the new blog, as we enjoyed the earlier ones. And remember that old adage, "Good things happen to those who wait." To hell with that adage, "Go out and conquer!", that's what I say. And keep on trippin', because we would miss you if you didn't. The Kirch and I still welcome you to visit our humble abode if trippin' to the Midwest. P.S. I'll be using my beloved nickname that my hubby calls me. P.P.S. I loved the art work you wrapped the carton with....they should frame it and hang it with pride.
@Katie: Thanks for the nice wishes and comment! Please send my regards to Tom and all the other Kirch's and I'm hoping that sometime in the life of this blog a visit will be made! I appreciate the invitation!
